The new agreements include a significant improvement to radio coverage in the Denver Metro area

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State Athletics and its exclusive multimedia rightsholder, LEARFIELD’s Rams Sports Properties, announced today a contract extension between the Rams and Townsquare Media NoCo and a new relationship with Bonneville Denver / ESPN Denver 1600.

These agreements will create a significantly larger and improved footprint for fans to hear radio broadcasts from Fort Collins through the Denver metro area.

“We are thrilled to be able to extend our relationship with Townsquare Media for expanded coverage throughout northern Colorado and begin a new partnership with Bonneville for significantly improved availability in the Denver Metro area on the Rams Radio Network,” said Joe Parker, Colorado State University Director of Athletics. “As we progressed through this renewal process, it was important that we connect with partners to help cover our state, and we are thankful to LEARFIELD for bringing that vision to fruition.”

Beginning in August, local fans will find football and men’s basketball game action on K99 FM, expanding the broadcast reach from Fort Collins to the northern Denver metro area. Women’s basketball game broadcasts will continue to air on Power 102.9 FM, without interruption

Additional promotional support will be provided across the Townsquare NoCo radio station group which includes Retro 102.5, 99.9 The Point, 94.3 The X, Power 102.9 FM and their various other media platforms including digital, social media, stations apps which engage 500,000 people in NoCo, and the largest local music festival, Taste of Fort Collins.

“We have 30 local employees who live right here in NoCo, we’re Rams Sports fans just like our audience, all of CSU and our local business community at large – we are thrilled to continue this tremendous strategic partnership,” said Evan Harrison, President for Townsquare Media NoCo.

Denver-based fans will enjoy complete radio coverage of CSU football and men’s basketball games across the entire metro area with ESPN Denver 1600, in addition to select women’s basketball matchups. Denver’s leading sports station, 104.3 The Fan, will also carry a select schedule of Rams games each season.

“We’re very excited for ESPN Denver 1600 to become the Mile High City’s radio home of the Colorado State Rams,” said Raj Sharan, Program Director of ESPN Denver 1600 and 104.3 The Fan. “We’re eager to listen in as Brian Roth calls the action in Coach Norvell’s first year while Coach Medved and Coach Williams look to continue building on their winning seasons.”

Both K99 and ESPN Denver 1600 also will air Rams football and basketball coaches’ shows each week during their respective seasons, featuring newly appointed football head coach Jay Norvell, men’s basketball head coach, Niko Medved, and women’s basketball head coach, Ryun Williams.

Brian Roth will continue as “Voice of the Rams” for football and men’s basketball. Roth also hosts and produces the weekly Colorado State Insider Podcast during the athletic season. The podcast can be found on the CSU Rams Podcasts Homepage or on The Varsity Network online or via The Varsity Network app, where all live Rams game broadcasts can also be streamed.

New to the football broadcast team for the 2022 season is former Ram linebacker Ricky Brewer. Brewer will fill the broadcast team’s analyst role, replacing the retiring Mark Driscoll. A Denver native, Brewer was a three-time letterman and all-conference performer for the Rams between 2007-10 and currently serves as an assistant principal and athletic director at a high school in Denver.

Marty Cesario, and Kevin McGlue for select games, will continue to provide insight from the field.

On the men’s basketball side, Adam Nigon returns in his analyst role alongside Roth, and Matt Wozniak will have all the action from women’s basketball.

The Colorado State Sports Network also boasts 16 radio affiliates for fans to follow the Rams live action around the state. Rams Sports Properties is the locally based LEARFIELD team which manages all broadcast operations and the corporate partner platform for Colorado State Athletics as part of the overall multimedia rights relationship.
