The first national group licensing deal launched that utilizes CLC’s COMPASS NIL app to manage individual athlete opt-ins. The NIL program, which was negotiated between Fanatics and OneTeam Partners, will deliver customized college football jerseys bearing the names of athletes that opt into the program. The program will initially launch in Fall 2022 with institutions that are major Fanatics e-commerce partners; however, all college athletes can download the COMPASS NIL app from the Apple or Google app stores and register for future deals. OneTeam has an agreement with CLC to utilize the COMPASS NIL app to manage athlete opt-ins for all of its multi-schools, multi-athlete licensing programs.    Online Version of the Announcement

Below, as seen in SBJ’s Morning Buzz on Feb. 3, 2022:

OneTeam Partners is partnering with Fanatics to provide current college football players the opportunity to profit off an officially licensed co-branded jersey customization program that is set to launch ahead of the ’22 season. Fanatics, which partners with more than 150 schools, will offer customizable Nike, adidas and Under Armour football jerseys, while OneTeam will administer the group rights of the program’s college athletes, who can opt into the program through the free COMPASS NIL app. Retail touchpoints will include e-commerce, wholesale and physical stores inside stadiums and arenas. Fanatics and OneTeam plan to eventually expand the program to more men’s and women’s sports (SBJ).
