SEATTLE – University of Washington Athletics announced today a brand-new, multi-year partnership with Carter Subaru to serve as “Official Automotive Sponsor of UW Women’s Athletics.” The integrated connection with the Huskies marks the first of its kind for the dealership, which has locations in Lynnwood, Shoreline and Ballard.
Carter Subaru has a deep tradition of supporting women’s sports in Seattle. Its first foray into college sports will be centered around bringing the community together and creating positive impact through a shared passion for elevating women’s athletics at the University of Washington. The UW-Carter Subaru relationship ushers in an opportunity to celebrate the remarkable achievements of UW women’s sports programs, coaches and student-athletes.
Complementing the year-round brand exposure and multi-platform media visibility for Carter Subaru, the dealership will work closely with UW to launch the “Wins for Treehouse” program to direct funds to Treehouse —a nonprofit serving youth in foster care. For every regular season UW women’s team win, UW Athletics and Carter Subaru will donate $50 to Treehouse, while also providing special Husky experiences to the young people supported by the organization.
“We could not be more excited and thankful for this partnership with Carter Subaru,” said Jen Cohen, Director of Athletics. “We have a rich history of outstanding women’s athletics at the UW and it is truly amazing to have local business leaders and supporters want to help amplify these success stories. I am so excited for the road ahead to see how this partnership will benefit our department and the community.”
The overarching sponsorship platform with UW provides Carter Subaru regular touchpoints to connect with Husky Nation and integrate into the UW women’s sports calendar throughout the year. In addition to spearheading “Wins for Treehouse,” Carter Subaru will receive in-venue digital signage and sponsorship opportunities during women’s basketball, soccer, volleyball, gymnastics and softball seasons. According to Jennifer Moran, General Manager at Carter Motors “Being able to support women’s athletics, as well as bringing in a valued partner like Treehouse, continues our goal of investing in our communities future. Carter Subaru is thrilled to be the official Auto Partner of UW Women’s Athletics and looks forward to watching this partnership grow.”
The new relationship with the dealership was secured by Learfield’s Huskies Sports Properties – the university’s multimedia rightsholder that aligns with the athletics administration in management of the comprehensive rights relationship and corporate partner program.
