GET WHAT YOU EARN is directed by Jason Johnson, who is noted for his work with ESPN, CBS, UNinterrupted, and FOX. The series captures exclusive, behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with Beavers’ Head Coach Wayne Tinkle, the coaching staff and entire team.
Fans can watch the trailer and Episode 1 online now via the dedicated page osubeavers.com/getwhatyouearn. The five episodes comprising the GET WHAT YOU EARN documentary will release on Tuesdays, from October 26 – November 23. GET WHAT YOU EARN will be accessible for fans on the official athletics website page and through Oregon State Athletics’ official social channels.
“This new series provides one-of-a-kind access to our team for fans, incorporating footage and interviews they otherwise would never experience,” said Oregon State Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Scott Barnes. “GET WHAT YOU EARN is captivating, it is unique to Beaver basketball, and we’re excited to introduce it.”
Oregon State advanced to the NCAA Tournament’s Elite 8 last season after winning the Pac-12 Conference tournament. The Beavers begin exhibition games on November 4 at home, and the entire 2021-22 schedule can be found here at osubeavers.com.
According to Johnson, “The opportunity to work with LEARFIELD and Oregon State, and to tell stories tied to this program and Coach Tinkle after the amazing run they had last year, has been an extreme privilege for me.”
“Our Content team is driven to create compelling stories that fans will love, in partnership with the universities we’re fortunate to represent,” said LEARFIELD SVP and Head of Content Grant Jones. “It’s an honor to help the Beavers tell a special story for their fans as season tips off. GET WHAT YOU EARN, with Jason Johnson as an incredibly accomplished director, is exactly the type of storytelling that allows fans to experience their favorite team on a whole new level.
