Corbu Stathes Named Play-by-Play Announcer for Tommie Football and Men’s Basketball

ST. PAUL, MN – University of St. Thomas Athletics Department and its exclusive multimedia rightsholder, Tommie Sports Properties, announced today a new relationship between the Tommies and KSTP AM 1500/SKOR North.

Starting this fall, Tommie fans will find game action on KSTP AM 1500 and KSTP-FM 94.5 HD-2. The broadcast agreement with Hubbard Radio is concurrent with the upcoming 2021-22 collegiate athletics season.

 In the new agreement, KSTP AM 1500 and KSTP-94.5 HD-2 will bring fans Tommie programming including football, men’s basketball and men’s hockey game broadcasts as well as various women’s contests. Additional promotional support will be provided on the SKOR North digital platform which includes Mackey & Judd, Patrick Reusse, and Garage Logic with Joe Soucheray.

Additionally, Corbu Stathes has been named the play-by-play voice for Tommie football and men’s basketball. Stathes was most recently the radio voice for Minnesota Golden Gopher women’s basketball.

Tommie Sports Properties is the locally based LEARFIELD team which manages all broadcast operations and corporate partnerships for University of St. Thomas Athletics as part of the overall multimedia rights relationship.
