MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Marquette University Athletics and its exclusive multimedia rightsholder, Marquette Sports Properties, announced today a renewed flagship relationship with 94.5 ESPN Milwaukee for men’s basketball programming.

Milwaukee’s ESPN affiliate, 94.5 ESPN, will carry Golden Eagle game action this season starting November 9, when Marquette plays host to the SIUE Cougars. The station will broadcast all men’s basketball games, as well as the Inside Marquette Basketball Radio Show featuring Shaka Smart. The multi-year flagship agreement will call for 94.5 ESPN Milwaukee to be “home of Marquette basketball.”

In addition to the coach’s show and daily “Marquette Minute” vignette throughout basketball season, 94.5 ESPN Milwaukee will provide fans in the greater listening area a 30-minute pregame show, play-by-play for every game, and a 45-minute postgame show. The station is owned by Good Karma Brands, and Marquette Sports Properties secured the flagship agreement on behalf of the university.

“We can really feel the incredible excitement that is building for this season, and we’re thrilled 94.5 ESPN Milwaukee remains our home for men’s basketball,” said Marquette Vice President and Director of Athletics Bill Scholl. “We want to give our fans quality game broadcasts and men’s basketball content all season when they can’t be at every game. We trust Good Karma and know they will continue to ensure excellence over the airwaves.”

“We are thrilled to once again bring the excitement of Marquette basketball to our fans, and we enjoy being a part of this premier university and its passionate fanbase,” said Steve Wexler, Vice President and Milwaukee Market Manager at Good Karma Brands. “We are honored that 94.5 ESPN will continue to be the home of Marquette basketball and look forward to delivering exceptional content for Golden Eagle fans year after year.”

The Marquette Sports Network, encompassing seven affiliate stations throughout Wisconsin, affords fans an opportunity to catch the Golden Eagles throughout the year. For ongoing content, fans can watch “Behind the Mic” and listen to Marquette Games with play-by-play voice Steve “Homer” True, who is joined by Marquette Hall of Famer Tony Smith during the men’s basketball season.

Marquette Sports Properties is the locally based LEARFIELD team which manages all aspects of the radio broadcasts and corporate partnerships as part of the university’s athletics rights relationship.
