Former Publicis Media VP, Content & Partnerships Brings Valuable Expertise to College Marketplace
NEW YORK, N.Y. – Learfield IMG College recently named Daniel Wittenberg vice president, branded content in its New York City office as it intently focuses on delivering original content to engage fans for brand clients, as well as the nearly 200 college brands it represents across the U.S.
Wittenberg spent eight years with Publicis Media in New York, most recently serving as vice president, content and partnerships, developing branded entertainment and integrated content marketing campaigns for leading brands such as Pizza Hut, T-Mobile, Kohl’s, The Mondelez Portfolio and Verizon. Prior to Publicis, he was with WPP where he worked across GroupM Entertainment and Sports Partnerships, and with Wavemaker, also in New York City. Wittenberg’s experience in the sports and entertainment space includes developing, negotiating and leading innovative partnerships between brands and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, EA Sports/Madden NFL Football, The Player’s Tribune, the NCAA, Bleacher Report, ESPN, Twitch, iHeart Radio, American Music Awards, Telemundo, Billboard Music Awards, Latin Grammy’s, Univision, NBC, ABC, FOX and the Super Bowl.
“As we continue to place a significant emphasis on evolving as a media and technology company, we understand the importance of making valuable connections with fans and delivering content for our brand and school partners that truly resonates,” said Learfield IMG College Chief Content, Strategy and Development Officer Rob Schneider. “Daniel’s experience will be a tremendous asset for us. He will be a perfect complement for Grant Jones, who joined us six months ago as senior VP and head of content to specifically establish this team dedicated to creating exceptional fan-focused solutions for our partners.”
“I’m incredibly excited to join the Learfield IMG College team and tap into the immense storytelling opportunities that our college properties have to offer,” said Wittenberg. “As consumer behaviors change and the media landscape becomes more fragmented, one characteristic that remains constant is the passion fans have for their college. I look forward to using branded content to develop stories and experiences that create deep emotional connections bringing fans closer to their schools and brands closer to consumers.”
