Orono, Maine – University of Maine Athletics and its multimedia rights partner, Black Bear Sports Properties, announced on March 2, that it will televise all three of Maine’s home football games. These select games will air live on WVII ABC 7 and WFVX FOX 22 Bangor and Maine’s CW – WPXT Portland.

“We are very excited, after a long, too long of an absence, to have UMaine sports back on local broadcast television,” WVII Fox Bangor General Manager Mike Palmer said. “It may be winter, but the announcement put a spring in our step.”

The first broadcast of the season will take place on Saturday, March 13 when Maine football hosts UAlbany at noon live on WVII ABC 7 Bangor. Maine’s home contest with Villanova, schedule for Saturday, April 3, will air on WFVX FOX 22 Bangor. The Black Bears will wrap up the 2021 spring regular season slate when they host New Hampshire on Saturday, April 17 live on WFVX FOX 22. All three games will air on Maine’s CW – WPXT in Portland.
