PHILADELPHIA – Jason Potuto has been named general manager for Temple Sports Properties as announced today by Learfield IMG College, the university’s athletics multimedia rightsholder. Today marks his first official day in the new role.
Potuto brings nearly 15 years of intercollegiate athletics marketing, media and sponsorship sales expertise from serving with Kansas, Tulane and UMass. The New Jersey native relocates back East from Lawrence, Kan., where he was senior manager, business development for Jayhawk Sports Properties, the Learfield IMG College team representing the University of Kansas. Potuto also previously spent six years as Tulane University’s assistant athletic director for marketing, sales and promotions, and he is a former assistant director of marketing for UMass Athletics. Early in his career, Potuto was an athletics marketing assistant at Kansas. He holds a degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Potuto will lead day-to-day operations for Temple Sports Properties, including the continued growth and development of the Owls’ corporate partner platform. As primary Learfield IMG College liaison, he also will work closely with the entire athletics administration on all aspects of the comprehensive Owls’ rights relationship.
