CLEVELAND – As these unprecedented times continue, and with the fall NCAA Championships, NAIA Championships and Junior/Community College Championships being put on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) will re-evaluate the Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup for the 2020-21 academic year once the championship seasons’ resume.

Both NACDA and Learfield IMG College look forward to resuming the Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup program in the future, with the hope that we can award the cups for the 2020-21 academic year, pending the national championships are able to be played across each of the above mentioned associations.

Until then, in an effort to recognize the achievements of athletics departments across the country and honor the storied traditions of the Directors’ Cup, NACDA and Learfield IMG College will highlight special moments in the program’s history. Beginning Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020, a new #ThrowbackThursday piece from the past Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup standings will be released on a weekly basis. Each Thursday will feature a different division. Be sure to check out these weekly anecdotes on the Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup Twitter and in the NACDA Daily Review.
