MEMPHIS — Tiger Sports Properties is excited to announce the launching of its new podcast, Inside Memphis Athletics. The podcast will serve as an outlet to preview, review and highlight the latest in Tiger Athletics, and include regular interviews with administrators, coaches, athletes and former Tigers.
Memphis athletic director Laird Veatch will be the first guest in an episode available Tuesday. Inside Memphis Athletics can be found on Apple, Spotify, Twitch, iHeartRadio or anywhere podcasts can be downloaded.
Longtime University of Memphis broadcaster Jeff Brightwell will serve as the host of Inside Memphis Athletics. Brightwell has served as the Voice of the Tigers for the last 17 years providing radio play-by-play for Memphis baseball. He is the pre- and post-game radio host for Tiger football and men’s basketball and hosts the weekly radio shows for football head coach Ryan Silverfield and men’s basketball head coach Penny Hardaway. Brightwell has also called Memphis men’s and women’s soccer, softball and volleyball over the last several years.
