WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Boilermaker football fans will have the opportunity to relive some of the greatest games in program history this fall.

Beginning September 12, several stations on the Purdue Radio Network, including WNDE in Indianapolis and WAZY in Lafayette, will air a dozen classic games in the “Dream Season” from 10 a.m.-noon on Saturdays. The selection of games spans from 1954-2018, and fans will be able to vote on social media each week for the game they want to hear. The broadcasts will also be available on the Tunein App.

When available, original broadcasts will be used, featuring Hall of Fame announcer Joe McConnell, current play-by-play voice Tim Newton, and analyst Pete Quinn. For other games, Newton and Quinn will recreate game broadcasts. All will feature a postgame interview with one of the star players or coaches from that contest.

“The Dream Season will help Boilermaker fans relive great football moments while we’re on pause. Purdue has a proud football tradition, and these games will give our fanbase a chance to go back in time and experience some memorable Saturdays,” said Mark Walpole, general manager of Purdue Sports Properties, the Boilermakers’ multimedia rightsholder and locally based Learfield IMG College team. “It will also expose younger fans to all-time greats such as Bob Griese, Mike Phipps, Mark Herrmann and Rod Woodson, while also celebrating more recent All-Americans such as Drew Brees and Rondale Moore.”

Fans will be able to vote on Purdue Athletics social media channels on Monday and Tuesday each week for the game to be broadcast that Saturday. The first two game options will be announced at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 7.
