GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Gators Sports Properties, on behalf of the University Athletic Association (UAA), has announced Pet Paradise as “Official Pet Care Provider of the Florida Gators.” This marks the first collegiate partnership for Pet Paradise. Overseeing Pet Paradise’s more than 50 resorts in operation or under development across the United States is President & CEO Fernando Acosta-Rua, a former Gator punter.

As part of its comprehensive sponsorship with the Florida Gators, Pet Paradise will receive exclusivity in the companion animal veterinarian services, pet boarding, day care and grooming categories. Pet Paradise also will have use of the Florida Gators’ marks and receive radio and digital integration and hospitality benefits through its relationship term.

“As a Florida graduate, I am excited Pet Paradise is partnering with Florida Gator Sports Properties,” said Acosta-Rua. “Just like the University of Florida is committed to excellence in sports and education, Pet Paradise is dedicated to providing premium pet care services that are innovative, trustworthy and consistent.”

This collegiate connection is a first of its kind for Pet Paradise, complementing its partnership with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars. The Gators’ relationship was secured by Florida Gators Sports Properties, the locally based Learfield IMG College team and UAA’s multimedia rights and sports marketing arm.

“We’re excited that Florida-based Pet Paradise has become the ‘Official Pet Care Provider of the Florida Gators’ with their new partnership, joining other premier brands in aligning with the Gators,” said Florida Gators Sports Properties VP/General Manager Lee Douglas. “We’re looking forward to working alongside Pet Paradise on this new sponsorship and connecting fans with their myriad of pet care services.”

“Pet Paradise is a comprehensive pet care provider offering boarding, day camp, veterinary services and grooming under one roof, and we are looking forward to sharing our unique value and amenities with the Gator Nation,” said Pet Paradise Vice President of Marketing and Communication Lisa Tarr. “Pet Paradise invites our fellow Gator fans for a free day of camp at any of our more than 20 Florida locations now open or coming soon.”
