UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN AND ANNEX WEALTH MANAGEMENT TEAM UP FOR EDUCATION

MADISON, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin and Wisconsin Athletics are introducing a multi-year and multi-faceted agreement with Annex Wealth Management, providing the university with educational opportunities across campus. The move is concurrent with Annex’s expansion into the Madison market.

The centerpiece component of the relationship is development of financial literacy workshops conducted by Annex Wealth Management – designed specifically for select UW campus divisions to promote financial insight strategies for student leaders, UW staff, and alumni. Connecting with the overall campus community, students, alumni, faculty and staff, and assisting in giving back by helping students prepare for life after college, is the firm’s goal with forming this partnership. Annex Wealth Management will have a presence within multiple campus areas which include the Alumni Association – Grandparents University, and Division of Student Life – All Campus Leadership Conference. Student and employee financial workshops for development and well-being within Campus and Visitor Relations and University Recreation & Wellbeing will also be at the forefront.

“We’re excited to take Annex Wealth Management’s commitment to education to a whole new level. Partnering with the University of Wisconsin and Wisconsin Athletics is an opportunity for Annex to help expand UW’s breadth of learning opportunities for students, alumni, faculty and staff. We’ve found a partner who shares our values and trusts us to discuss critical financial, wealth, and retirement concepts,” said David Spano, President and CEO of Annex Wealth Management. “We’ve always been big supporters of the Badgers. Now, our support includes working even more closely with the homes and businesses of Badgers fans everywhere.”

“Research shows that college students are in need of information and education about financial literacy and investing,” says Tricia Nolan, assistant vice chancellor for University Relations. “We’re proud to partner with Annex and form a relationship that will create a lasting benefit as our students build their financial futures.”

To complement its campus relationship, Annex Wealth Management will receive visibility throughout UW Athletics events, while also working with the fan base to promote public educational workshops throughout the year to focus on all areas of wealth management. Annex Wealth Management is headquartered in Elm Grove, Wisconsin, with five branch offices located throughout the state including its new location in Middleton.

“We are excited for this creative partnership between Annex and UW Athletics, which will provide long lasting benefits and value to our student athletes, fan base and the University,” said Barry Alvarez, UW’s Director of Athletics.

University Marketing and Badger Sports Properties are the two parties which collaborated in the development of the campus-wide agreement with Annex Wealth Management. Badger Sports Properties, which provided integration in terms of the athletics elements, is UW Athletics’ multimedia rightsholder and locally based Learfield IMG College team.
