COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Seasoned sports marketer Clay Harris recently relocated to College Station from Houston to oversee Texas A&M Ventures, the locally based team for Learfield IMG College that is entirely dedicated to the Aggies.
Harris is the former general manager for the Houston-based Learfield IMG College teams representing the University of Houston Cougars and the Rice University Owls respectively. Prior to that, he was general sales manager for those two property teams and helped manage IMG College’s relationship with the Red River Showdown, the annual Dallas-based football game featuring the Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners. Harris also previously served as general manager for IMG’s local, dedicated Tulane University Athletics’ team and is the former senior director of sponsor development for the National Senior Games Association. He got his career start with the NBA’s New Orleans Hornets (now the New Orleans Pelicans).
Learfield IMG College, longtime multimedia rightsholder for Texas A&M Athletics, aligns closely with the athletics administration and university leadership to develop impactful partnerships that are meaningful for the campus community as well as for local, regional and national business looking to align with the Aggies.
“We’re excited to have Clay leading Texas A&M Ventures, and he brings valuable experience and perspective to our team in College Station,” said Learfield IMG College Executive Vice President, Multi-Media Rights Andrew Wheeler.
