Popular Halftime Promotion Planned for Women’s Basketball Game on November 30

BOZEMAN, Mont. – Montana State basketball fans will once again have the opportunity to participate in the popular “Teddy Bear Toss” at Worthington Arena on Friday, Nov. 30, when the Bobcat women play host to Long Beach State at 7 p.m.

The third annual Teddy Bear Toss, hosted by MSU Athletics and Bobcats’ longtime corporate partner Bank of Bozeman, affords fans of all ages the opportunity to share a new stuffed animal for boys and girls ages 5 to 10 who attend Eagle Mount’s Camp Braveheart. The teddy bears and stuffed animals brought to the game by fans on November 30 will be thrown out onto the basketball court during halftime.

Eagle Mount Bozeman provides quality therapeutic recreational opportunities for people with disabilities and children with cancer. The organization’s Camp Braveheart caters specifically to children who are currently battling a form of cancer, or who already have been through treatment. Attending with their immediate family members at Hyalite Youth Camp, campers enjoy fishing, horseback riding, campfires, games and other related activities during their designated week.

In previous years, more than 300 teddy bears and stuffed animals have been donated through the Bobcats’ Teddy Bear Toss, all of which went directly to children attending Camp Braveheart.

“We are excited that this fun event has become an annual tradition, and Eagle Mount and Montana State Athletics are great partners,” said Bank of Bozeman President Clinton Gerst.

“Bank of Bozeman and MSU Athletics have created this wonderful event that Eagle Mount is proud to be a partner of,” said Eagle Mount’s Executive Director Jen Hedrick. “The Teddy Bear Toss creates a wonderful community event which brings awareness of our local children fighting cancer and brings much needed resources to supporting Eagle Mount’s Big Sky Kids’ camps for children with cancer. We are so grateful for this partnership and awesome event.”
