TEXAS TECH RED RAIDERS ANNOUNCE MAJOR RADIO CHANGES FOR WESTERN CENTRAL TEXAS, INCLUDING SAN ANGELO AREA

LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech Athletics and its multimedia rights holder, Learfield’s Red Raider Sports Properties, announced today changes to its radio affiliations within the San Angelo, Texas radio market, as well as across Western Central Texas and into the Texas Hill Country.

Beginning this fall, fans of Texas Tech Athletics will now be able to catch Red Raider game action and related programming KLDE 104.9 FM and 105.3 FM, and KMBL 1450 AM. The multi-year agreements with TENN-VOL, Corp., gives Red Raider Fans living in the greater Western Central Texas area around San Angelo, Red Raider football games, men’s basketball games, coaches’ shows and select women’s basketball and baseball games on 105.3 FM in San Angelo, 104.9 FM in Eldorado, and 1450 AM in Junction.

“The addition of KLDE and KMBL will only enhance our radio presence in San Angelo and the Texas Hill Country. We appreciate the support of TENN-VOL, Corp. in carrying Red Raider programing to our vibrant and dedicated fans,” said Texas Tech Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt.

“We’re excited to share with our radio listeners that we’ve become the radio home for the Texas Tech Red Raiders in San Angelo and across Western Central Texas including the Texas Hill Country. We are delighted in our new relationship with Learfield and the university over the next five years and certainly look forward to adding Red Raider Sports to KLDE 105.3 FM in San Angelo and 104.9 FM in Eldorado, and KMBL 1450 AM in Junction,” said Danny Boyer of TENN-VOL, Corp., the Licensee of KLDE and KMBL AM.
