KINGSTON, R.I. – South County Health is continuing its relationship with the Rhode Island Rams in which it will remain the “Official Hospital/Healthcare System of URI Athletics,” announced today by University of Rhode Island Director of Athletics Thorr Bjorn.
“South County Health and the University of Rhode Island are two of the oldest institutions in Washington County, keeping the community healthy in body and in mind,” said South County Health Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer Kim O’Connell. “As the official sponsor of URI Athletics, South County Health continues to support the health of our community and the student-athletes who are such a big part of it.”
During football and men’s and women’s basketball seasons over the next three years, South County Health will have a brand presence among URI’s campus and community. In addition to visibility on URI radio, television and digital platforms, South County Health will serve as the presenting sponsor for the annual Coaches vs. Cancer men’s basketball game.
“The incredible support URI Athletics receives for our student-athletes through partnerships like this is vital,” Bjorn said. “We are thrilled to continue our partnership with South County Health. Through Rhody Sports Properties, we already have some impactful initiatives in place, and South County is a wonderful complement to our corporate partner family.”
