Former Fisher Cats Deputy GM Returns to Learfield for UNH Athletics

DURHAM, N.H.– Experienced New Hampshire sports executive Jenna Raizes has been named general manager of Wildcat Sports Properties for Learfield, the multimedia and sponsorship rights holder for the University of New Hampshire Department of Athletics. Raizes, who most recently spent six years in the front office of the New Hampshire Fisher Cats minor league baseball team, returns to the UNH campus a decade after she first came to the Granite State as an original member of Wildcat Sports Properties.

At Wildcat Sports Properties, Raizes will lead all aspects of the extensive rights relationship between Learfield and UNH Athletics, which includes signage, sponsorships, corporate hospitality, broadcast, and digital opportunities. She will work alongside the university athletic department to align initiatives in building the Wildcats’ brand locally, regionally and nationally.

“We are delighted that Jenna has rejoined the Wildcat family as our GM for Wildcat Sports Properties,” said director of athletics Marty Scarano. “Through her previous tenure here at UNH, Jenna has many fans. Additionally, her great work in the state working with CHaD and the Fisher Cats has given her a great identity that will serve us well. Jenna will hit the ground running as she has many, many relationships across the state that she can draw on.”

Raizes worked for the Fisher Cats from 2012-18, serving most recently as the club’s deputy general manager since 2016.

“Marty and I spent a lot of time with Learfield’s management crafting the optimal set of qualifications and experiences and vetting many candidates for the role,” said executive director of athletics Jon Danos. “Jenna is a terrific fit for our brand, the value we place on relationships, and to advance UNH Athletics’ priorities.”

Raizes served as a corporate sales account executive for Wildcat Sports Properties when Learfield first began working under the UNH umbrella in 2008.
In January 2017, Raizes earned a place on the New Hampshire Union Leader 40 Under Forty, a program that recognizes the state’s brightest young achievers who have a record of professional and volunteer accomplishments in New Hampshire.

In 2011-12, Raizes worked as the event and sponsorship coordinator for the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD). In that position, she was instrumental in coordinating the first-ever New Hampshire East-West All-Star Football Game at Cowell Stadium in 2012.

Raizes was a college softball pitcher at the University of Memphis and inducted into that school’s athletics hall of fame in 2014. She graduated in 2006 summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations and earned her masters of science degree in Sports & Leisure Commerce a year later while still competing as a student-athlete and working as corporate sponsorship coordinator for Tiger Sports Properties, her first position with Learfield.

Raizes resides in Epping with her husband Charley, a Portsmouth police officer, and their children Ryder and Emilie.
