SYRACUSE, N.Y. – SIDEARM Sports, the Learfield-owned company that provides content streaming, websites and other digital services to more than 247 Division I athletic departments, has today announced a partnership with Sling Media (a wholly owned subsidiary of DISH Network Corp.) to accelerate the adoption of multi-camera livestreaming by its university sports clients through the use of SlingStudio.

“Collegiate athletics programs have always had to prioritize their commitment of video production resources to just a handful of events each week,” said SIDEARM Sports’ President and CEO Jeff Rubin. “SlingStudio makes it even easier and more affordable for a wider variety of sports to be represented and broadcast via our client schools’ existing content streams.”

Starting at $999, SlingStudio delivers wireless multi-camera livestreaming and recording without the need for a production truck or hours spent running wires across a venue. SlingStudio is capable of recording, monitoring and editing four HD video inputs from up to 10 professional cameras, camcorders, smartphones and even drones. It can output live video to the streaming services provided SIDEARM Sports as well as Facebook Live and YouTube, while simultaneously recording to a USB hard drive, USB SSD or SD card for post-production. SlingStudio’s robust wireless technology operates with minimal interference at distances up to 300 feet, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor sports and performance venues.

The product features sports-relevant live capabilities including real-time scores, instant program replay, stats and rosters, lower third graphics and importing of sponsor logos, with new software features being added regularly.

As the nation’s leading provider of universities’ content streams and digital presence, SIDEARM Sports’ services include social presence and video streaming for its school and conference partners.
