The Scoreboards are Used for Field Hockey, Soccer, Lacrosse & Rugby

Hamden, Conn. – Quinnipiac University expanded its partnership with technology service provider ANC with the installation of three new scoreboard systems for Quinnipiac Athletics. The new scoreboard systems were designed specifically for Quinnipiac’s field hockey, soccer, lacrosse and rugby teams and are fully operational for the 2018 season.

The two new scoreboards for field hockey, soccer and lacrosse include a 16mm outdoor LED display measuring 260 x 460 pixels beside a traditional scoreboard display, while the scoreboard for rugby measures 13’ high by 16’ wide and incorporates Amber LED to display the digits, team names, and captions. Each will provide game information, with the LED screen being used to display game clips and team and sponsorship graphics.

“Quinnipiac is dedicated to providing student athletes with the necessary tools for continued success,” said Greg Amodio, director of athletics at Quinnipiac. “Our partnership with ANC ensures our technology is maintained and operated to the highest standards and helps create an engaging game day environment.”

ANC and Quinnipiac have been partners for the past five years, with ANC spearheading the design and integration of the two center-hung display systems at the TD Bank Sports Center. With the installation of these new scoreboards, Quinnipiac has agreed to an extended service agreement with ANC to maintain and operate all five systems. The video display systems are controlled by ANC’s award-winning winning vSOFT™ operating system.

“ANC is thrilled to once again provide Quinnipiac University with the technology necessary to offer the best experience for their students, fans, and alumni,” said Jerry Cifarelli, Jr., vice president, sales. “With our long-term service agreement, we look forward to servicing Quinnipiac’s technology and game day needs for years to come.”
