At least 15 Minnesota men’s basketball games during the 2017-18 season will be broadcast on the Twin Cities’ sports talk leader, KFAN 100.3 FM, as the Gopher Radio Network along with iHeartMedia announced the upcoming radio schedule on Friday.

“There is some great anticipation for Gopher Men’s Basketball season after last year’s success and so many returning contributors,” said Greg Gerlach, general manager of Gopher Sports Properties. “Having our games broadcast on iHeart Media will be exciting and offers fans additional options to catch those games live whether in Minnesota, traveling or located elsewhere to follow the program. Mike Grimm and Spencer Tollackson are entering their ninth season together and are one of the better tandems in college basketball.”

Of those 15 games, 11 will come during Big Ten Conference play. Minnesota’s season opener against USC Upstate on Friday, Nov. 11 will also be heard on KFAN, along with the Miami, Arkansas and Harvard games.

The remaining regular season contests will be heard on Twin Cities News Talk KTLK 1130 AM, and simulcast on 103.5 FM as well. All games can be heard on the iHeartRadio app, which allows fans to follow along with Mike Grimm and Spencer Tollackson anywhere they have an internet connection. Broadcast information for every game can be found on the men’s basketball schedule, linked above.

Additionally, Gopher Basketball Weekly with Richard Pitino will shift to KFAN beginning in late November, with the first episode slated for Tuesday, Nov. 28. The weekly show can be heard from Noon-1:00 p.m., with cohosts Mike Grimm and Justin Gaard scheduled. Podcasts from each show will be available on KFAN’s website shortly following the conclusion.

“Our iHeartMedia Team and our hosts on both KFAN and KTLK are excited to have Gopher’s basketball and hockey on our air. We anticipate great seasons for the teams, the sponsors and fans,” said Jeff Tyler, iHeartMedia President, Western Great Lakes Region.
