AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts Athletics, in conjunction with its multimedia rights holder Learfield’s UMass Sports Properties, announced today a brand-new relationship with Crumpin-Fox Club in Bernardston.

The partnership marks a first between the Minutemen and Crumpin-Fox and is in effect for the current 2017-18 collegiate athletic season. Crumpin-Fox Club immediately assumes the designation as “Official Golf Partner of UMass Athletics” and will receive numerous corporate partner benefits throughout the year as a result of aligning with the Minutemen.

“We’re honored and proud to announce our partnership with the University,” said Crumpin-Fox Club Director of Golf, John “Boo” Jackson. “We admire the keen sense of community and dedication to excellence that the athletic department at UMass has demonstrated,” he said. “We share that mindset, and it became clear that a formal partnership would promote continuous growth, exposure, and success for both organizations.”

In addition to use of UMass marks and logos, Crumpin-Fox will receive significant exposure on the UMass Sports Network during football, hockey and men’s basketball seasons and digital visibility all year via the official athletics website, UMassAthletics.com. The Club will also sponsor several in-game promotions for football and men’s basketball home games.

“We’re pleased to welcome Crumpin-Fox Club to our corporate partner family and know there are now some great opportunities for our fans and campus community as a result of us coming together,” said UMass Director of Athletics Ryan Bamford. “We look forward to working with Boo and his team at Crumpin-Fox to develop a long-standing, mutually beneficial partnership.”

To officially kick off its UMass relationship, Crumpin-Fox Club is extending a special offer during Homecoming week, entitled “Play it Forward for UMass”. On October 20-22, guests can play 18 holes with cart for $65 before noon, and $45 after noon. Ten percent of all golf sales those dates will be donated to the Minutemen Club.

Crumpin-Fox Club was recently ranked as the No. 1 public access golf course in Massachusetts and No. 3 in New England, according to New England Golf Monthly’s 2017 “Best in Golf” Awards. Located on Parmenter Road in Bernardston, the 18 hole course is owned and operated by The Sandri Companies of Greenfield, MA. The Club has an active membership, but is open to the public seven days a week for daily fee players, group outings and charity tournaments.

According to Jackson, Crumpin-Fox will offer exclusive pricing on memberships and rates for UMass students, alumni and staff. “We’re looking forward to having the opportunity to do our part in ‘Uniting the Masses’ and be involved in the energy and excitement coming from Amherst. It’s a privilege that doesn’t come along too often and we are going to make the best of it.”
