MINNEAPOLIS – One fortunate Gopher football fan will have the road trip experience of a lifetime later this month, compliments of Audi Minneapolis and Audi St. Paul. In collaboration with Gopher Athletics and its multimedia rights partner, Learfield’s Gopher Sports Properties, the dealerships announced today that one lucky fan will be driving a brand-new Audi to Iowa City to see the Gophers play the Iowa Hawkeyes for the legendary Floyd of Rosedale trophy on October 28.

The online entry period is open to fans now at www.gophersports.com/audi. As exclusive sponsor of the road trip to Kinnick Stadium, Audi Minneapolis and Audi St. Paul will provide one grand-prize winner and his/her guest a brand-new Audi to drive to the game, as well as premium game tickets, sideline passes, and hotel accommodations for two nights. Entries will be taken through October 15.

“We look forward to the Battle for Floyd and will take great pleasure in seeing the winning fan come to our showroom, get the key to the Q7 and take off on a memorable journey to watch his or her favorite team play for the Pig!” said Audi Brands Vice President Todd Olson. “We’re thrilled to have the Audi Q7 as the vehicle of choice for the Audi Road Trip for the second year in a row, and again are delighted to be an ongoing partner of Gopher Athletics.”

“This is an unbelievable experience for fans, and we hope everyone who has the opportunity to enter takes a few minutes to complete the online form,” said Gopher Sports Properties’ Vice President and General Manager Greg Gerlach. “Audi has been a terrific partner and loves to support this event. This year’s Audi Road Trip will feature iconic Kinnick Stadium and what will surely be another exceptional game in Minnesota’s long-standing rivalry with Iowa. We’re excited to have the ability to share it in a special and unique way with one lucky fan.”

Fans can visit Audi Minneapolis and Audi St. Paul to test drive any of the new vehicles and follow Gopher Athletics on Facebook (GopherAthletics) or Twitter (@GopherSports) to keep up with the Road Trip.
