JONESBORO, Ark. – With five “Fox Sports Arkansas” radio stations recently joining the EAB Red Wolves Sports Network, every Arkansas State football game broadcast during the 2017 season will air on a school-record 23 affiliates covering almost the entire state of Arkansas and reaching into parts of Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee.

East Arkansas Broadcasters (EAB) and the Arkansas State Athletics Department are teaming up for the 17th consecutive season to air A-State football games. The EAB Red Wolves Sports Network is a partnership with Learfield, the athletics department’s official multi-media rights holder.

The network will again be anchored by 100,000-watt flagship station KFIN 107.9 FM out of Jonesboro, while the addition of the five Fox Sports Arkansas stations gives it the largest lineup of affiliates in the Sun Belt Conference and places it among the most extensive in the Group of 5 conferences.

“We are excited to announce the expansion of our EAB Red Wolves Sports Network,” said A-State Director of Athletics Terry Mohajir. “This is another testament to our students and coaches. Possessing one of the largest, if not the largest, radio network among our peers speaks volumes about the growth of our program, both regionally and nationally. We are thankful for our wonderful partnerships with EAB and Learfield, and this is also a testament to the first-class broadcast assembled for our games.”

New to the EAB Red Wolves Sports Network this year are KAFN’s 93.7 FM and 690 AM signals out of the Benton/Little Rock area, as well as North Little Rock’s KDXE 105.5 FM and 1380 AM signals. Additionally, KFFA 1360 AM will also join the network for A-State broadcasts in the Helena, Ark., area.

They join a list of 18 other affiliates that were already a part of the network, combining to provide the most opportunities ever for A-State fans to listen to Red Wolves’ games. All A-State football radio broadcasts can also be heard for free on AStateRedWolves.com, the Arkansas State Athletics app, KFIN.com and the KFIN app.

Calling play-by-play for the Red Wolves will be Matt Stolz, who is entering his 13th season as the voice of the Red Wolves. A former A-State football standout who lettered from 1978-81, Tim Allison begins his second season as an analyst for the EAB Red Wolves Sports Network. An A-State alumnus, Brad Bobo begins his 15th year working with the Arkansas State football radio broadcasts.

“Our goal is to consistently provide our listeners with a broadcast that is among the best in the nation,” said Stolz. “With interest in the Red Wolves at an all-time high, we’re thrilled to bring the A-State brand to more listeners than ever before. Our affiliates play a key role in the exposure that Arkansas State University Athletics receives, and we look forward to providing a product that our fans can be extremely proud of for a long time to come.”
