RICHMOND, Va. – VCU Athletics and its multimedia rights partner, Learfield’s VCU Sports Properties, announced Monday that Mid Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) will carry four men’s basketball games for the 2016-17 season.

MASN will air the Rams’ home games against Princeton (Nov. 29), Howard (Dec. 27) and George Mason (March 4). The Network also will carry the Jan. 18 game at Fordham. The broadcast team will feature Jay Burnham handling play-by-play duties, with John Feinstein serving as color analyst.

“VCU is one of the most exciting teams in the Mid-Atlantic region, and we are thrilled to be airing four of the Rams contests,” said Jim Cuddihy, EVP Programming, Marketing, and Affiliate Relations. “MASN is airing over 100 games this college hoops season and having VCU on MASN is one of the highlights on our schedule.”

“It’s very important to us as an athletic department that all of our games are on live television,” said VCU Executive Associate Athletic Director Glenn Hofmann. “This agreement with MASN will put the Rams in homes all throughout the Mid-Atlantic, which gives incredible exposure to our school, our athletic department and the hard work our student athletes put in every day.”

VCUslider93Robby Robinson, general manager for VCU Sports Properties added, “With this MASN partnership, VCU Basketball will have each one of its games broadcast on live television for the 2016-17 season. The power of the VCU Rams basketball brand, and the success the team has had over the past decade, makes it terrific programming and we’re excited that our fans will be able to watch these games on a terrific network like MASN.”
