DANBURY, Conn. – Academy Bus is the newest company to support the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) for the 2016-17 athletic season, as announced today by the league’s rights partner, Learfield’s ECAC Sports Properties.
The ECAC-Academy Bus partnership calls for the Hoboken, N.J.-based bus company to be granted any ground transportation commitments that fall within 50 miles of each of the host championship locations. As “Official Transportation Partner”, Academy Bus also will receive select visibility opportunities with the ECAC and it will serve as a bowl game presenting sponsor at the ECAC Division III Football Fest.
“We are certainly excited to be working directly with such a prestigious organization as the ECAC to provide their outstanding participating academic institutions with their required ground transportation needs for the numerous ECAC Championship events,” said Academy Bus Vice President of Sales Antonio Ramos. “To be associated with these impressive student-athletes and their pursuit of excellence on both the field and in the classroom is clearly an undertaking that Academy is proud to be involved with, and we look forward to a truly successful partnership.”
“This is tremendous, Academy Bus coming on to support our member institutions and their student-athletes, and we greatly appreciate their support and commitment to the ECAC,” said Interim Commissioner/CFO John Rollins. “It’s essential for us to align with companies that want to strengthen their position, while at the same time, provide us exceptional support. We’re proud to work with Academy Bus and welcome them back to the ECAC.”
