ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico Athletics and Uber have announced a continued partnership to provide Lobo fans with transportation to and from Branch Field at University Stadium on game day for all home football games.
The three-year partnership between the two will extend into the 2019 football season. An official pick up and drop off zone will be available to fans in Lot A of Isotopes Stadium, first base side, which is directly across from the North Entrances to University Stadium on Avenida Cesar Chavez.
Uber ambassadors will be on site for all home games to help fans with pick up and drop off questions, and various signs will be placed throughout University Stadium to help fans locate the pick-up and drop-off zones.
“Uber is thrilled to partner with University of New Mexico Athletics to provide a reliable transportation option to and from all football games,” said Steve Thompson, Uber New Mexico General Manager.
The partnership, secured by UNM Athletics’ multimedia rights holder, Learfield’s Lobo Sports Properties, provides fans with safe and reliable transportation on game day and signifies Uber’s commitment to the university and Lobo Nation.
“We are happy to extend our partnership with Uber,” said Vice President for Athletics Paul Krebs. “We are committed to giving our fans a great game day experience, and Uber will provide our fans with a convenient way to get to and from the game in a safe, quick manner.”
