Official Supermarket of Poke Fans, Ridley’s Family Markets, Donate $3,250 to the Food Bank of the Rockies
Local grocery chain aims to match up college sports and support for their community
Laramie, Wyo. – Representatives from Ridley’s Family Markets recently gathered at the Laramie, Wyo., location to present the Food Bank of the Rockies with a $3,250 donation with the help of University of Wyoming Athletics and Learfield’s Wyoming Sports Properties.
“As a family-owned company, Ridley’s prides itself on being a member of and giving back to the communities that support us and make us successful,” said Director of Operations for Ridley’s, Mark Ridley. “We are very proud of our partnership with the University of Wyoming and the Food Bank of the Rockies and are happy to support both of these organizations because of the wonderful things they do in our community.”
“Ridley’s is a big part of the Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies”, said Shanna Harris, executive director of the organization. “They donate cash to the organization which allows us to do our work of distributing nearly 9,000,000 pounds of food, or 7,500,000 meals in Wyoming every year. Wherever a Ridley’s store is located, they re-invest in our communities. We couldn’t do what we do without them.”
Beginning in 2015, Ridley’s partnered with the University of Wyoming Athletic Department and Learfield’s Wyoming Sports Properties, to enhance their involvement and support in the community. Ridley’s set out to donate $250 for every quarterback sack at a Wyoming home football game. They continued their partnership into basketball by adding $200 for every home win by the Cowboy Men’s basketball team.
