INDIANAPOLIS — Learfield Licensing Partners, a trademark management company specializing in collegiate licensing and branding, is pleased to announce that The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) has signed an exclusive agreement allowing Learfield Licensing to represent the university and its licensing program.
The University of Texas at El Paso, located in El Paso, Texas, has an enrollment more than 23,000 and 120,000 active alumni. The Miners have 15 athletic programs and compete at the NCAA Division I level as members of Conference USA. UTEP yearly ranks near the top of the Conference USA in football and men’s and women’s basketball attendance. As an athletic institution, the Miners have won 25 NCAA championships, including 21 in cross country and track and field, and are celebrating their 50th anniversary of winning the 1966 NCAA’s Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament. Formally known as Texas Western, that championship team featured the first all-African American starting lineup and was chronicled in the 2006 Disney film Glory Road.
Learfield Licensing has been hired to help maximize exposure opportunities for The University of Texas at El Paso through aggressive retail merchandising and brand development, along with handling the day-to-day management duties of the university’s trademark licensing program.

Along with this agreement, Learfield Licensing will represent each university in The University of Texas System starting July 1, 2016.
