BURLINGTON, Vt. – University of Vermont Athletics and Learfield Sports’ Vermont Sports Properties announced today a multi-year partnership with Vermont Mutual Insurance Group.

The relationship calls for the company to be an official partner of Vermont Athletics, marking a first-of-its-kind between the two parties. It will focus on support of Catamount Athletics through in-venue signage at Patrick Gymnasium and Gutterson Fieldhouse. Vermont Mutual will also be featured in-game and have a presence on CatamounTV and gameday radio broadcasts throughout the duration of the three-year partnership.

“As Vermont’s oldest insurance company, we’re proud to partner with UVM, one of the state’s oldest higher education institutions,” said Vermont Mutual Insurance President and CEO Daniel C. Bridge. “We’ve been fortunate at Vermont Mutual to receive national recognition for our sustained high performance and financial stability, so it seemed like a great match to enter into a sponsorship agreement with UVM, an institution that also enjoys national recognition for its accomplishments both in and outside of the classroom.”

Vermont Mutual has also become a Victory Club member, which provides resources to directly benefit the over 400 Catamount student-athletes.

“We’re thrilled to have Vermont Mutual joining our group of corporate sponsors, especially since this is their first venture into collegiate athletic sponsorships” said UVM Athletic Director Dr. Robert Corran. “We’re confident this partnership will provide great exposure for Vermont Mutual while providing exceptional benefits to Catamount Athletics, the Victory Club and Catamount student-athletes.”
