AUCTION DIRECT USA IS GIVING BACK THIS HOLIDAY SEASON TO THE BIG 4 MILLION MEALS CHALLENGE

Auction Direct will present a $1,500 check to the Million Meals Challenge on December 1

RALEIGH, N.C. – The “Million Meals Challenge” – a collaborative initiative with Harris Teeter and four in-state collegiate rivals Duke, UNC, NC State and Wake Forest – is under way now and focuses on generating yearlong support for the North Carolina Food Banks. This initiative recently has gained another supporter in Auction Direct USA of Raleigh.

In partnership with University of North Carolina Athletics and Learfield Sports’ Tar Heels Sports Properties, Auction Direct USA will donate $1,500 to the Big 4 Million Meals Challenge. The trusted partner of Tar Heel Athletics became aware of UNC’s involvement with the Million Meals Challenge and wanted to give back to the community as a part of its Black Friday giveaway.

“Auction Direct is a proud partner of UNC Athletics, and we are excited to partner with them again in support of the Million Meals Challenge,” said Michael Guerrein, marketing director of Auction Direct. “The Big 4 Million Meals Challenge directly benefits so many in our local community, and we are honored to give back in support of these efforts.”

Auction Direct will present a $1,500 check at 9:30 a.m. on December 1 at its Raleigh dealership at 7601 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, N.C., with representatives from University of North Carolina, the NC Food Bank and Harris Teeter.

The Million Meals Challenge is a collaborative effort to provide one million meals for North Carolinians. Harris Teeter has taken on significant involvement through in-store food drives at area locations, in conjunction with on-campus donations and fundraising at the four universities.
