SYRACUSE, N.Y. – SIDEARM Sports, a Learfield Sports’ company and the nation’s leading digital provider serving more than 825 partners, ushers in October by launching Boston College Athletics’ new digital home – bceagles.com. The Eagles’ partnership with SIDEARM Sports is all encompassing and includes a brand new bceagles.com, live and on demand audio and video streaming, live stats, infographics and online storefront.
Boston College is the fourth school from the Atlantic Coast Conference to join SIDEARM. NC State and Louisville both launched new sites with SIDEARM in August. Syracuse has been with SIDEARM Sports since 2000-01.
“This is a great start to a very big month at SIDEARM Sports. We could not be more thrilled to welcome Boston College to the SIDEARM family,” said SIDEARM Sports President and CEO Jeff Rubin. “Visitors to bceagles.com will notice an immediate difference when visiting the site. We can only hope they enjoy the big bold imagery and other features of the SIDEARM platform.”
The new website will be the foremost online destination for the BC followers, including such fan-based features as event ticketing, feature stories and interviews, photo galleries, gear merchandise and social media.
One of the most exciting features is called “MyBC,” which will enable the user to customize the way they receive information about BC sports. With the MyBC application, users will be able to choose the news, games and social media aspects for their favorite sports and change their selections at any time.
“We’re very excited to launch our new web platform in partnership with SIDEARM,” BC Athletics Director Brad Bates said. “We believe our fans will enjoy the new web and mobile experience, which will include greater video integration, more visual story-telling and a clean feel, and will help bring the excitement of our live game experiences right to their screens.”
The Eagles are also the 12th Power 5 school to join SIDEARM, joining Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisville, Missouri, NC State, Northwestern, Oklahoma State, Syracuse, Texas and Texas A&M.
