Duluth Trading Company seeks to find the Big Ten’s wildest and most dedicated super-fans

CHICAGO – With the college football season already underway, the Big Ten and corporate partner Duluth Trading Company have teamed up for the second consecutive year to find the Conference’s wildest and most dedicated super-fans. As part of the Big Ten Fan of the Year photo contest, throughout the football season fans can win more than $1,000 in Duluth Trading gift cards plus priceless on-field experiences at the Big Ten Championship Game.

“Duluth Trading is proud to continue its support as an official partner of the Big Ten Conference and its millions of loyal fans,” said Stephanie Pugliese, president and CEO at Duluth Trading Company. “We had some very creative contest entries last year – from full-body painted costumes, team tattoos, and even fans’ dogs decked out in their schools’ favorite colors. We look forward to Big Ten fans raising the bar with even more colorful demonstrations of their devotion in this year’s contest.”

“The Big Ten Conference is thrilled to continue its partnership with Duluth Trading Company, a leader in the rugged workwear and outdoor apparel industry,” added Scott Bailey, general manager of Learfield Sports’ Big Ten Sports Properties entity which oversees the Conference corporate partner platform. “Regardless of rivalries, one thing that unites all Big Ten fans is their hard-working attitude, and Duluth Trading’s products are a perfect reflection of that spirit.”

To get involved with the contest, fans can visit the Big Ten Conference’s Facebook page or https://bit.ly/BigTenFan to submit a photo or just vote for their favorite school and fan. There will be three distinct voting periods throughout the football season, and the top winners from each of those will be entered in the final selection for the 2015 Big Ten Fan of the Year, who will be recognized on-field at the 2015 Big Ten Football Championship Game on Saturday, December 5 in Indianapolis. In addition to the ultimate bragging rights and on-field experience, the grand prize winner will receive a VIP package with four game tickets, hotel accommodations and pregame hospitality access to the game.

Duluth Trading Company also supports the Big Ten with TV commercials on Big Ten Network, radio exposure in marquee Big Ten football games, digital support and a key brand presence at the Big Ten Football Championship Game.
