FRESNO, Calif. – The Fresno State athletics department announced it will be honoring a Serviceman or Woman at every home football game during the 2014 season, sponsored by Solar Negotiators.
Solar Negotiators is a local, veteran owned company and will be responsible for selecting each Hero for the Bulldogs’ six home games. To nominate, a website has been created for anyone to submit their Hero’s and why they should be selected. Learfield Sports’ Bulldog Sports Properties, Fresno State Athletics’ multimedia rights holder, secured the partnership on behalf of the Bulldogs.
“Central Valley veteran’s and their families have some amazing stories to tell,” said Chris Moran, USMC Veteran and Founder of CEO of Solar Negotiators. “What a wonderful opportunity to team with the Fresno State Bulldogs athletic program, and offer an opportunity to recognize those who have served.”
Through the Hero of the Game program, all participants who nominate their Hero, will be have a chance to win group tickets and other prizes to the next Fresno State home game. After all nominations are reviewed, one Hero will be selected 10-14 days before each home game and be honored during halftime of that home date.
Our commitment to our local heroes will strengthen with this partnership, “said Paul Ladwig, Senior Associate Athletics Director of External Relations. “We are thrilled we will be able honor these special people and have them in Bulldog Stadium during the entire season and during our Salute to Military game.”
Online submissions for the Hero of the Game are open now, and can be made through the following link: https://solarnegotiators.com/hero-of-the-game/. The first hero will be selected for the football home opener on September 13, when Fresno State faces Nebraska at 7:30 p.m.
