Winston Salem, N.C. – Southern Illinois University is the latest school to announce a partnership with IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions (IMGLTS).

IMG Learfield will sell football, men’s and women’s basketball, softball, baseball, and volleyball tickets, with a major focus on increasing football season and group tickets and increasing the fan base for basketball. The operation will be managed on site by Sean Tobin, who joins IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions from the Columbus Blue Jackets where he focused on season ticket sales. He will be assisted by SIU graduate Alex Rhodes, who will serve as account executive.

“We are very excited to partner with the leading ticket solutions firm in the nation,” said Mario Moccia, SIU’s Director of Athletics. “Now that we have substantially completed our goal of facilities creation and renovation, the athletic department is going to make increasing tickets sales and attendance at all sporting events a primary emphasis. IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions is an industry leader with a proven business model as evidenced by the list of BCS partners. They can help us reach our goal of enhancing customer service, growing our fan base, and selling out our venues on a consistent basis.”

Southern Illinois’ multimedia rights are represented by Learfield Sports. IMG College’s licensing affiliate, The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), represents the university’s trademark licensing program, while IMG College Seating is also a school partner.

“SIU is fielding a great athletics program supported by a terrific fan base,” said Matt DiFebo, Managing Director of IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions. “We’re eager to get to work to engage Salukis fans more and fill up all of their facilities.”

Initially launched in January, 2011 as IMG College Ticket Solutions, and strengthened by a merger in April 2012, IMG Learfield Ticket Solutions offers schools complete ticket sales and customized revenue solutions ranging from consulting to comprehensive outsourcing. This privatized tickets solution provides schools a professional sales force to increase attendance and revenues generated from athletic events as well as choice and convenience when fans purchase tickets.
