SAN FRANCISCO — StubHub, the world’s largest ticket marketplace, has renewed its partnership as the official secondary ticket market provider with six NCAA properties; University of Georgia and University of Wisconsin, both of which now provide integrated ticket barcoding, plus Florida State University, Purdue University, University of North Carolina and Virginia Tech. In addition to its renewals, StubHub adds three new NCAA properties with Arizona State University, Georgia Tech and West Virginia University.

Along with multi-media, licensing and brand partners, IMG and Learfield Sports, as well as leading ticketing provider and partner Paciolan, StubHub continues to demonstrate its commitment to the collegiate market. Working closely with schools to provide the most compelling online solution for fans to buy and sell tickets from each other, the company has evolved into a major sponsor and partner in the collegiate space.

Since Paciolan and StubHub joined forces in 2010, StubHub has more than doubled the size of their collegiate partnership roster. Earlier this year, they announced partnerships with University of Nebraska and Michigan State University, bringing StubHub’s total NCAA property roster to 35.

“Over the last few years, StubHub has collaborated with collegiate programs and NCAA ticketing partner Paciolan to offer the best ticket resale solution for fans,” said Greg Ivry, business development director at StubHub.  “Advancing the fan experience and being a great partner have always been our top priorities, and will continue to be as we grow our business in college sports and beyond.”

StubHub’s partnership provides benefits to both the schools and fans. A new feature this year provides links to select schools’ primary ticketing websites on StubHub’s site, boosting primary sales, while providing the fan a more complete ticket buying experience.

In addition, fans have access to print-at-home tickets, streamlined listings to sell unused tickets and mobile fulfillment via Apple Passbook. Plus, fans of partnered schools get enhanced access from the StubHub Fan Rewards program which honors frequent StubHub customers. Other fan benefits include pre-game field access, seat upgrades, tailgates, behind-the-scenes tours and fans at Florida State University, University of Southern California, and the University of Louisville also have access to StubHub’s unique oversized reclining Dream Seats.

The StubHub/Paciolan partnership enables barcode integration for ticket holders to seamlessly resell their tickets on StubHub. The ground-breaking technology provides tickets that are digitally delivered to the buyer.

“Our partnership offers college athletics clients the ability to deliver fans an exceptional experience when they resell or buy tickets on StubHub,” said Kim Damron, Paciolan senior vice president of client partnerships and marketing. “Fans win since they get a seamless and convenient way to purchase great seats that might otherwise be unavailable, and teams win as they fill their seats with passionate fans.”

Since the two became partners in 2010, StubHub’s roster of NCAA partnerships includes:

2010 Purdue University, Florida State University, University of North Carolina, and Virginia Tech

2011 University of Texas, University of Michigan, University of Southern California, Kansas University, University of Tennessee, Clemson University, University of Iowa, Stanford University, and Texas Tech University

2012 Oklahoma University, Auburn University, University of California at Berkeley, Texas Christian University, University of Maryland, University of Pittsburgh, Oregon State University, Air Force Academy, East Carolina University, James Madison University, Wichita State University

2013 Announced earlier this year: University of Nebraska and Michigan State University; announced today: Georgia Tech, Arizona State University, West Virginia University, University of Georgia and University of Wisconsin

StubHub has partnerships with four other NCAA properties, independent of the Paciolan relationship, including 2013 national champions University of Alabama, University of Louisville, Georgetown University and the Big Ten Conference.
