Learfield Sports’ Army Sports Properties Help Secure Army-Siemens Sponsorship Deal

WEST POINT, N.Y. – The Army Athletic Association and Siemens Corporation have reached a sponsorship agreement that includes signage and exclusive naming rights to the Superintendent’s Loge at Michie Stadium, home of Army football.

The Superintendent’s Loge, presented by the U.S.-based Siemens entity, is a 505-seat contained area centered at the 50-yard line of Michie Stadium, a venue that Sports Illustrated ranked as No. 3 on its list of top 20 venues.

The 2010 season will mark the 87th year that Michie Stadium has served as the home of Army football.

Siemens will have signage inside the Loge area, and their logo will be included on all Loge tickets. Ticketed fans to the Loge receive food and refreshment, a chairback covered seat in the middle of the field and access to a special hospitality area that opens two hours prior to kickoff.

Terms of the three-year agreement were not released. It was secured by Assistant Athletic Director Doug Fillis in cooperation with Army Sports Properties. ASP, the exclusive multimedia rights holder for athletics at Army, is a property of Learfield Sports, which manages rights for more than 50 collegiate institutions and associations.

Army opens its 2010 football season at Eastern Michigan with five home games on the slate: Sept. 11 vs. Hawaii, Sept. 18 (vs. North Texas), Oct. 2 (vs. Temple), Oct. 30 (vs. VMI) and Nov. 6 (vs. Air Force).
