New Traffic Manager for Sports Ops
Beginning Monday February 1st, Felicia Moore will start her new role as Traffic Manager for the Sports Division. The traffic/broadcast support staff will report directly to Felicia, who will take the lead in shaping the direction for the traffic department as we get ready to combine traffic with broadcast support.
Felicia brings a wealth of experience, not just from her time at Learfield but from her time in traffic management in terrestrial radio. It’s always great when we can promote from within.
Bulldog Sports Staffing Up
New Account Executive Curtis McKenna joined the Bulldog Sports Properties team at Fresno State yesterday. For the last three years, he’s been an Account Manager for Bonneville Sports Marketing in Phoenix, Ariz., and before that, serving as a Corporate Sales Manager for Front Row Marketing in Philadelphia.
Curtis grew up in Parker, Colo. and is a graduate of Hastings College in Hastings, Neb. He and his wife, Candace, will be moving to Fresno from Phoenix with their two little ones, Scarlett (20 mos.) and Colt (9 weeks), and their two Siberian huskies.
Bama Deserves a Hand
The BCS National Champs deserve a hand for coming out on top, and our Crimson Tide Sports Marketing team is lucky to land Bama alum Chris Hand as a new Account Executive. Chris comes to CTSM with a wealth of sales and marketing experience throughout the region. He’s returning to Alabama by way of Nashville, where he’s been working for Citadel Broadcasting since July 2005 as Director of Sales and the General Sales Manager of 104-5 The Zone (WGFX). Hand directed the sales efforts of The Zone, 103 WKDF and the Tennessee Titans Radio Network. He also has sales and management experience with Cox Radio, College Sports Southeast, The Birmingham News and The Cullman Times. Chris and family are excited to be returning to Alabama.
Thunder to Hurricane for Custer
Patrick Custer joins our Tulsa team at Golden Hurricane Sports Properties after serving with the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder franchise as an Account Executive, Ticket Sales. Prior to that, he served in sales roles for the NBA’s Seattle Supersonics and completed a summer internship with Sports Management World Wide. He attended Oregon State University for two years and graduated from Linfield College in Oregon.
CU Property Buffs Up with Madsen
Newly promoted Buffalo Sports Properties General Manager Megan Eisenhard welcomes Dave Madsen to her team at CU. Dave will serve as Associate General Manager in the Boulder office, having most recently spent eight years inside his alma mater, University of Denver Athletics (as Senior Associate Athletic Director the past two years). He also has served nine years with MLB’s Colorado Rockies in merchandising, licensing, sales and marketing.
Dave and his wife, Carey, have two daughters, Lauren (2) and Emily Claire, born January 6th.
Oliver heads to Falcon Sports Properties
Following a one-year internship with our Aggie Sports Properties team at Utah State, Cameron Oliver heads to Falcon Sports Properties at Bowling Green State, where he will learn the Account Executive ropes under General Manager Cal Bowers and the team there.
Cameron, a Utah State grad, is married to Katie and enjoys classic cars and anything outdoors.
New AE for Lobo Sports Properties
Staci Hastings is the new Account Executive for General Manager Joe Weiss and his team at our New Mexico Lobo Sports Properties. She joins us from Staples, where she was a Business Development Associate, and from Comcast Spotlight, where she served six years as an Account Executive.
Staci and her family clearly enjoy sports together as she and her husband, Bryan, play competitive softball, while kids Taylor (13) and Cyanne (7) are into football, basketball, baseball and T-ball between the two of them.
Van Leuven to Clemson
Gregg Van Leuven started January 1 as our new Associate General Manager for Clemson Tiger Sports Properties. He joins CTSP from the Aberdeen Iron Birds, where he served as Assistant General Manager for this Class A affiliate of MLB’s Baltimore Orioles. Before that, he was Sponsorship Account Representative for the Durham Bulls, Class AAA affiliate of MLB’s Tampa Bay Rays.
Gregg is a Georgia native and an Auburn alum.
Former K-State pitcher joins K-State Sports Properties
Kevin Wicker starts today as the new Senior Account Executive for our K-State Sports Properties team. He will office in Overland Park, where he lives with his family, wife, Tracy, and kids Kaylie (4) and Keegan (1 1/2). Kevin spent the last 12 years as Director of Local Events & Development for the Kansas City Sports Commission & Foundation, so he knows the market well.
A Kansan at heart, he earned his master’s degree from Wichita State and his undergraduate degree from K-State, where he pitched for the Wildcats, appearing in 45 career games (1993-96) and recognized as a four-time academic All-Big Eight selection.
Staying put in Fresno
Jordan Long has officially joined the Bulldog Sports Properties team at Fresno State as an Account Executive. He’s done a great job interning the past six months for General Manager Lance Gerlach and his team, and now he’s staying put in a full-time role.
Jordan, a Fresno native, is a graduate and former football player for Menlo College in Atherton, California.
