Jefferson City friends building a home
Here’s a first! Learfield-Mid-Missouri is going to build a Habitat for Humanity home this summer.
I'm encouraging everyone to be a part. Aaron Worsham and some of his friends have been pushing for this. It'll be Jefferson City’s 59th home and the partner family is James and Kelly Diehl. (In Habitat, the occupying family must contribute 450 hours to the building of their home, plus their monthly house payment).
We’ve been assigned the 4th Saturday of the month starting June 27th. Obviously other companies and organizations will be working too. It will be great fun working together and watching this home “go up”. Put June 27th, July 25th and August 22nd on your calendar. You can get started earlier if you’d like as this coming Saturday is the first workday at the site: 1106 East Atchison. Whether you work this Saturday or not, you’re invited to be there at 11:00am for the “framing ceremony”, followed by lunch provided by Lee’s Chicken.
Everyone can do something. If you’d prefer not to work alongside your Learfield friends on June 27th, come anyway and help serve lunch. We’ll have more details later, but we wanted you to get this on your calendar. Bring your friend or spouse too. The more the merrier!
